Medical emergencies rarely come with a warning. Knowing how to reach help quickly — before you're actually in a crisis — can make a real difference in the first few critical minutes.
AICHI's Emergency Hotline
AICHI Hospital Uttara operates a round-the-clock emergency hotline: 10675. Save this number in your phone today, for yourself and for family members who may need it. In an emergency, calling ahead — even from the road — helps our team prepare to receive you as soon as you arrive.
When to Seek Emergency Care
Head to the emergency department, or call the hotline immediately, if you or someone with you experiences:
- Severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, or sudden weakness/numbness on one side of the body
- Heavy bleeding, a serious injury, or a suspected fracture
- High fever that doesn't respond to medication, especially in infants or elderly patients
- Sudden, severe abdominal pain
- Loss of consciousness or a seizure
When in doubt, it's always safer to call and ask than to wait and see.
What to Bring, If You Can
- A list of current medications and known allergies
- Any recent medical records or prescriptions
- An ID and, if available, insurance or payment details
In a true emergency, none of this should delay getting to the hospital — get help first, and bring what you can.
After the Emergency
Our emergency team coordinates directly with AICHI's specialist departments, so patients who need ongoing care can be moved smoothly from emergency treatment into the right department without starting over with a new team.
